‘Friends’ Movie Won’t Ever Happen, But This Is What It Might Look Like [Video]

A Friends movie is not happening, according to Cosmopolitan , and much to the disappointment of Friends fans everywhere who have been hoping that their loyal fandom could eventually produce a Friends movie reunion. But it doesn’t mean the hit NBC sitcom’s fans can’t dream about it and imagine what a Friends movie reunion would look like.

And this time, a YouTube user named VJ4rawr2 uploaded a video of how a Friends movie just might look. In the hilarious spoof, the user edited together all the sitcom’s cast in their roles from their various TV and film projects.

So now Friends fans have the opportunity to see how a Friends movie might pan out if it was ever made. And to be honest, it looks like it would have been hilarious. VJ4rawr2 uploaded the video in September 2014, and it has been viewed over 25 million times since then.

And with many Friends fans so eagerly re-watching that Friends movie trailer, the question is why Friends showrunners still don’t have plans for a Friends reunion. Just recently, Friends creator Marta Kauffman said the sitcom’s reunion “will never happen,” according to the Hindustan Times .

Earlier this year, there was a James Burrows tribute show that refueled Friends fans’ interest to see a Friends movie reunion or at least any kind of reunion of their favorite show. And if those 25 million views account for 25 million people around the world wanting to see that reunion, why can’t the show’s creators give all those people what they want?

But Marta Kauffman decided to once again break the hearts of all those (potentially 25 million) fans around the world who want a Friends movie reunion to happen. While the show still continues its reruns even though it aired its last episode 12 years ago, and while those reruns ratings are still solid enough, Kauffman has assured all that a Friends reunion “will never happen.”

In her interview with Deadline , Kauffman said that every good show has its lifespan.

“ Friends was a show about that time in your life when your friends are your family, and in a weird way, this isn’t that different.”

Kauffman continued, saying that a Friends movie reunion won’t happen just because people miss the characters, as they can always watch reruns of the show and explore new details about the plot and the show’s iconic characters, played by Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer.

Friends ran on NBC from 1994 to 2004 and had ten seasons that centered around six friends having adventures in Manhattan.

Everybody remembers that FriendsFest in London last year when tickets sold out within less than 13 minutes. But now a similar fest has arrived in the U.K. for a six-week tour around the country, which has recently made headlines by voting in favor of leaving the European Union , according to the Telegraph .

The “Friends experience” has partnered with the Luna Cinema to bring at least some kind of Friends movie experience to the U.K. However, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh Friends fans will have to travel to neighboring England’s cities to see the show.

Venues will include Blenheim Palace, as well as world-known rock concert venue Knebworth House. Each and every venue will delight the fans with Friends show’s props and multiple interactive experiences.

For the fans hoping to see a Friends movie, the organizers will set up a cocktail bar, Smelly Cat karaoke, food stalls and a mini version of the Las Vegas love chapel. For now, this is the only opportunity for Friends fans to immerse themselves into the show, which was so successful for ten years.
