Fox News has officially hired former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown as its newest contributor.

Brown will be making his debut in primetime Wednesday, the network said. He will be making his first appearance on Hannity.

Bill Shine, Fox News’ EVP of Programming, said in a statement :

“Senator Brown’s dedication to out-of-the box thinking on key issues makes him an important voice in the country and we are looking forward to his contributions across all Fox News platforms.”

News that Brown, who lost his Senate seat to Elizabeth Warren in November, first broke last week . The decision to add Brown comes about a month after the network added former congressman Dennis Kucinich and a little over a week after Fox News got rid of Dick Morris . Morris had predicted that Mitt Romney would win the presidential election by a landslide, a decision he made to boost the Romney campaign’s morale. Morris said:

“I spoke about what I believed and I think that there was a period of time when the Romney campaign was falling apart, people were not optimistic, nobody thought there was a chance of victory and I felt that it was my duty at that point to go out and say what I said.”

Fox News also recently got rid of Sarah Palin and renewed former Bush advisor Karl Rove’s contract.

The changes in the lineup come at a time that the network is trying to rebrand itself. CEO Roger Ailes has said he would like Fox News to be more friendly toward Hispanic viewers , especially considering Romney lost the Latino vote by nearly 50 points. As part of that effort, the network launched Fox News Latino in 2010. The largely English-language news website is aimed at second- and third-generation Hispanic Americans, and was a precursor to similar sites such as NBC Latino and The Huffington Post Latino Voices.

Do you think Scott Brown will be a good Fox News contributor?
