According to the Los Angeles Times , Floyd Mayweather remains undefeated after beating Manny Pacquiao in a 12-round boxing match advertised as the “Fight of the Century.” Mayweather won by unanimous decision from the three judges.
According to the scorecard, Dave Moretti scored 118-110, Glenn Feldman scored 116-112, and Burt Clements scored 116-112.
Mayweather has been unbeaten in 48 professional fights dating back to 1996. He retains his WBC and WBA welterweight titles and takes the WBO belt from Pacquiao. His record goes to 48-0, and Pacquiao is 57-6-2.
A big portion of the crowd supported Pacquiao. Fans from his country were disappointed as they left the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
A lot of money was spent on this much-advertised fight. Some spectators had paid as much as $350,000 for tickets on the resale market.
Hollywood Life reported that it was a grueling fight between Manny Pacquiao, 36, and Floyd Mayweather, 38. The first five rounds of the fight were a close call, with Manny rocking Floyd in the fourth round with a vicious hook that dazed the champ and forced him into defense on the ropes.

“Despite Manny’s attacking stance and Floyd’s clever defensive work, it was Mayweather who landed more clean punches. And at the end, it was left to the judges’ decision who decided unanimously that Mayweather was the deserved winner.”
Business Insider described the match as the fight of the decade and the richest bout of all time . Pacquiao was the more aggressive fighter early on and thrilled the heavily pro-Manny crowd in the middle rounds with a few left hands to Mayweather’s jaw.
The audience was packed with celebrities, including Mayweather’s biggest supporter, Justin Bieber. Others included Jay Z, Beyonce, Mark Wahlberg, and several A-listers. The red carpet officially unrolled as celebrities began to arrive for the fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
For some, the fight was just as intense as expected, and the boxers didn’t disappoint after months of building up to the fight. Some celebrities tweeted that the fight was boring compared to all the hype.
