Elizabeth Olsen is understandably excited about her upcoming wedding.

In a move that seemed to steal some of the spotlight away from sister Mary-Kate Olsen’s wedding plans, Elizabeth announced back in March that she was getting married to actor Boyd Holbrook. Fans who hope to see the sisters tie the proverbial knot during the same ceremony should prepare themselves for a blast of celebrity-oriented disappointment.

The Godzilla told Marie Claire UK that Mary-Kate gets first crack at selecting a date . In other words, Elizabeth Olsen and her sibling aren’t planning to venture into the world of wedded bliss on the same day.

Not surprisingly, Olsen said that she’s incredibly excited to marry Boyd Holbrook. She’s also getting a kick out of planning the ceremony.

“I’m relaxed about it, but I am excited and planning ideas because it’s fun—it’s just like throwing a party to celebrate life. I love being in a relationship a lot,” Elizabeth explained.

The actress also mentioned that she’d like to have kids at some point in the near future. However, Elizabeth Olsen admitted that striking the right balance between work and family is very important to her.

She revealed to the magazine:

“It’s more important for women to do well in their family lives because they end up doing better in their job if they pay attention to their family. There was a time when you’d have a career, get to the top, and then have children, which I always thought was weird—as opposed to having kids witnessing the ebbs and flows, starting somewhere and growing together as a family.”

Elizabeth Olsen definitely has her plate full at the moment. Not only does she star in director Gareth Edwards’ big-budget Godzilla reboot , she’s also attached to Joss Whedon’s highly-anticipated sequel The Avengers: The Age of Ultron . While she has a prominent role in the upcoming giant monster movie, she admits that her co-star is carrying much of the flick on his shoulders.

“It’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s film, but the ensemble, we all are somehow connected to Aaron’s character. He’s the root, and I play his wife and I’m the person who holds down the San Francisco prospective of it all. I’m a nurse and I work trying take care of this chaos. ‘Godzilla’ is just so deserving of a good American remake, and I really hope we did it and I really feel like we did,” she explained.

Elizabeth Olsen fans can catch Edwards’ version of Godzilla on the big screen in the US on May 16.
