How much information is too much when it comes to Ed Sheeran? Apparently, bodily functions aren’t on his list of taboo discussion topics, because he recently admitted to doing something that few people are willing to admit doing themselves. Fox News 411 reports that the I Was Made to Love Her crooner has over-trusted at least one fart while performing onstage.
During a recent interview, the singer was asked if he had ever farted during a live performance, to which he answered positively. He admitted that he not only farted “all the time,” but he shared a story that some would find too mortifying to share with the masses.
“I actually once misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart. It was, like, midway through a performance and I was really lively, and then halfway through I was like, ‘All right I’m just going to stand for the rest of the performance, and hope it’s over soon and then go home and throw these trousers out!”
So if you recall a concert where Sheeran suddenly started standing awkwardly for the remainder of the show, you may have been present for the notorious shart he mentioned. Of course, he didn’t specify which show during which this memorable event took place.
Ed Sheeran is not the only celeb to have a bathroom accident during a less-than-convenient moment. Actor Hugh Jackman has admitted to wetting his pants onstage. In 2008 People Magazine reported that the actor wet his pants while performing in the musical Beauty and the Beast . To make the memory more humiliating, the audience noticed, and they laughed at him. Singer Fergie also had a notorious onstage urination accident. Concertgoers claimed that she urinated herself during a Black Eyed Peas concert, but the band’s rep said at the time that it was sweat. However, Fergie later admitted that she did in fact pee herself during a performance.
So, Ed Sheeran admitted to pooping his pants onstage, and he doesn’t seem at all bothered by it. In fact, he shared it like it wasn’t a big deal at all.
