Melania, 55, and Donald, 79, were videotaped together on the White House balcony during the July 4th weekend, when the Trumps watched an Independence Day fireworks show from the nation’s capital.
As soon as pictures of the couple from that evening appeared online, social media users started concentrating on First Lady’s body language while standing next to her husband. One photo that went viral on X had a happy Melania holding Donald’s chest with her left hand while he hugged the former model with one arm.
“They look stunning,” said one of the pair’s admirers. Some onlookers believed that the first lady’s genuine feelings toward her husband were captured in that still image of the Trumps. For years, there have been concerns regarding the status of Donald and Melania’s marriage. Journalist Michael Wolff recently offered his perspective on the couple’s behind-the-scenes rumors.
Wolff asserted in May 2025 that Melania did not live with the president. In response to such accusations, White House communications director Steven Cheung referred to the former Adweek editor as a “moron.”
In an interview with “60 Minutes Australia” in June 2025, Wolff reiterated his claims that Donald and Melania are pretending to be in love in order to maintain the appearance of a happy marriage. “I asked someone very close to them. I said, ‘So what’s going on?’ And this person looked at me like I was a real dunce, and then said, ‘She hates his f—king guts!’” Wolff stated.
Following their encounter at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, the author of the contentious Trump biography “Fire and Fury” also called Melania “opportunistic,” “calculated,” and “transactional.” Non-Washington insiders have also frequently expressed their opinions over whether Melania is concealing her true feelings for Barron Trump, the father of her 19-year-old kid.

Melania and Trump first met at a party in 1998. In 2005, they were married in a ceremony held at Mar-a-Lago. Barron, Donald’s fifth child, was born in 2006. With his first two spouses, the billionaire, who was born in New York City, has four other children.
