Donald Trump’s response to the tragic deaths of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, has allegedly left even his own staff shocked. The US President was quick to share an insensitive Truth Social post shortly after the public announcement of the couple’s demise.
Rob Reiner and his wife were found dead in their home with multiple stab wounds over the weekend. Their son, Nick, was identified as the primary suspect and is currently facing two counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his parents.
Despite the gruesome nature of the incident, Trump failed to show any empathy for the victims, leaving his staff more convinced than ever about his declining mental stability.
According to The Daily Beast, author Michael Wolff revealed that Trump’s unhinged remarks about Reiner and his wife’s deaths have caused even his loyal staff members to question his sanity.
While speaking on the Inside Trump’s Head podcast, Wolff claimed that a White House insider told him, “I don’t know what that was, but it wasn’t good. Everybody knows it’s a thin line he walks. Is he teetering? Well.”

Wolff added that the insider did not finish the sentence. His co-host, Joanna Coles, mentioned that maybe he isn’t teetering, “I would say it’s fallen off the line.”
The Trump biographer further stated, “It is not just that this is objectionable, but the fact that someone would say this is an indication of their own alarming personal situation.”
Wolff also noted how everyone becomes “diagnosticians of these old-man presidents.” However, in this case, no one will come out and say “‘he’s losing it.'” “Therefore, people have to make their own judgments.”
At the end, Wolff added, “I think the judgment is going to be a devastating one: Trump is off his f—— rocker.”

While Reiner’s murder is in no way related to Trump, Wolff noted how he still felt the need “to insert himself in the situation.” Coles responded saying this isn’t the first time Trump has shown these signs of declining cognitive health.
He added that the President’s post “really does sound like the utterings from an elderly relative who you go and see reluctantly in a home because they just say vile things now.”
In his Truth Social post, Trump claimed Rob Reiner was a “tortured and struggling” director, who passed away “due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness,” he further added.
Needless to say, the public reaction has been harsh after Trump’s insensitive post. One X user posted, “Trump mocking a grieving family’s tragedy by blaming ‘TDS” reveals a shocking lack of basic human decency from someone who calls himself a leader.” The second one added, “This so-called President is not human and certainly not thinking like one, when it comes to a death or two, or even so many at a time.”
