Miley Cyrus is certainly no stranger to the world of marijuana, though recent reports suggest the singer may have sparked up while attending a party with her mom.
According to various websites, Cyrus was reportedly spotted smoking a “suspicious-looking cigarette” at a house party in Florida last month. After taking a few hits off the supposed joint, she passed it around to some friends seated at a table.
Shortly after Miley Cyrus was spotting puffing on the suspicious cigarette, the singer was reportedly seen laughing it up with her mom Tish Cyrus. If the former Hannah Montana star was smoking marijuana at the party, then chances are her mother was privy to all of her pot-related shenanigans.
Of course, all of this marijuana talk is just a rumor at the moment. However, the singer certainly isn’t above lighting up every once in a while. Miley Cyrus caused a fair amount of controversy when she decided to smoke a joint at the MTV European Music Awards. However, the singer insisted she wasn’t trying to offend folks with her behavior.
Cyrus explained:
“I just did it mostly ’cause I knew the fans in Amsterdam would love it. And I knew that the whole place would go super wild. Some people just over think so much… It’s just not something I think about. I was just was walking out of my room and then I was like ‘oh I have this in my bag. That will be really funny. I didn’t say anything to anybody. And I didn’t tell anyone I was going to do it.”
Miley discussed the dangers associated with marijuana during an interview last summer. According to the “Wrecking Ball” singer, alcohol is a far more dangerous drug than pot . However, she stopped short of revealing whether she smoked the herb in question. Of course, we all know the answer to that question.
“I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana — and people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care. I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed,” Miley Cyrus explained.
