Did Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr get married? According to a new report, a Nashville radio show alleged the country star had married his one-time mistress during a trip to the Dominican Republic earlier this month. However, Aldean’s rep claims that is not the case.
In a statement to Radar Online on January 20, Aldean’s rep said the following .
“Jason and Brittany are not married. They didn’t get married in the Dominican Republic. They didn’t get married last weekend. The reports are wrong.”
Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr began dating in 2013, after Aldean’s divorce from Jessica Ussery was finalized — but that wasn’t when their relationship began.
As readers may recall, the two engaged in a physical relationship in 2012, which quickly became headline news. Once photos of their encounter at a West Hollywood, California, bar hit the web, Aldean issued an apology for his affair to wife Ussery, the mother of his two children, and attempted, unsuccessfully, to save his marriage.
After months of dating, Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr made their public debut on the red carpet at the 2014 CMT Awards. Unfortunately, their relationship was highly criticized by fans.
In response to the backlash he received, Aldean took to Instagram, where he defended his relationship with Kerr.
“So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but i am a better person because of it, and wouldnt change a thing. Im happier than i have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. Its time to move on people. #aldeanarmy #oldnews #timetomoveon. [sic]”
As Us Weekly reported, Aldean also defended his relationship in the September 2014 issue of Billboard Magazine .
“It has been two years of this s**t. Get over it, already! And then when I finally do get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I’m not trying to get in the headlines — I’m just trying to get people to stop running their mouths.”
Around the same time, Aldean and Kerr became engaged.
In a People Magazine interview last month, Aldean spoke of his upcoming wedding to Kerr, saying it would be sooner rather than later.
“It’s kind of hard when you’re touring as much as we do, but with the holidays coming up, we’ll have some time off. I can’t tell you when, but it will definitely be sooner than later.”
This will be the second marriage for Jason Aldean, and the first for Kerr.
