Cuts at Revision3: EPIC FU dropped

Revision3 has announced a number of changes, including the cancellation of some shows, and the release of others.

In a post to the Revision 3 blog, Jim Louderback announced that Pixel Perfect, PopSiren and Internet Superstar was cease production immediately. Two shows distributed by Revision3, but not produced by them: EPIC FU and Wine Library, have had their distribution agreements terminated.

Louderback cited the economic crisis for the decisions: “…in today’s economic climate it’s essential for us to focus on what we do best, and where the best opportunity for success lie.”

The decision to dump EPIC FU is interesting given the distribution agreement was only signed in June this year after EPIC FU decided not to continue their previous relationship with Next New Networks. On top of show distribution, the deal focused on selling advertising; we can only guess that Revision 3 didn’t want to split revenues in a tightening advertising market.
