The cruise ship bus breaking down is an ironic turn of events for Carnival Triumph passengers who are trying to get home after being adrift in the Caribbean for five days . The cruise ship bus had left port in Mobile, Alabama and was heading toward New Orleans.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , when the Carnival Triumph fire caused the engine to go out, it took everything else with it. One passenger described how some the passengers began acting like savages, spreading feces on the walls, hoarding food and stealing from others, fighting over items in the gift shops, and drinking any alcohol they could get their hands on. So, needless to say, the 4,000 passengers and crew were happy to be on land.

Carnival triumph passenger Clark Jones told Live at Daybreak about the cruise ship bus breaking down :

“The bus literally breaks down. It comes to a stop in the middle of the highway. We have to pull over to the side. It’s dark. All the lights on the bus go out. My son Jacob and I, when we pulled over and realized the bus was broken, we just started laughing. People were giggling. Other people were not happy.”

Fortunately, according to Travelers Today the cruise ship bus breaking down was quickly resolved:

“The incident was just a minor setback in the long trip home. Another charter bus was sent to the area. The passengers got on the other bus and continued their trip to New Orleans. Jones still has to fly to Houston, pick up a car in Galveston and then drive back home to Dallas.”

The cruise ship bus breaking down was probably the last straw for those unlucky few. What would you have done if stuck in the same situation as the Carnival Triumph passengers?
