Having a baby is already full of surprises. But a Florida couple decided to have a little fun with the birth of their second child. Turns out, the baby’s gender wasn’t the only secret – the bigger one was that they had twins.
Sharon and Korey Rademacher already have a son, and learned last August that they were expecting not just another child, but two of them. Now carrying twins, Sharon hatched a playful plan – to keep the news completely under wraps, ABC News reported.
Her husband thought it was brilliant; a great couple, evidently, thinks alike.
“As soon as my wife and I picked our jaws up off the floor, the doctor walked out. Within a minute of the doctor walking out, my wife said ‘Let’s not tell anyone.’ Literally, I was thinking the same thing.”
The doctor thought the rouse was amusing, but didn’t believe they could keep it up. But the couple did, all the way to the delivery room when Maryann Grace and Brianna Faith were born in March, the Huffington Post added.
And the Rademachers got the whole thing on video for all of YouTube to enjoy.
One by one, friends and family filter into the couple’s room. Everyone’s response to the secret twins follows a similar pattern –surprise, disbelief and sometimes, giddy laughter. And the Rademachers enjoyed every single reveal, often giggling themselves in the background.
Now that the secret twins have been revealed, the girls are reported to be healthy and happy at home. And chances are, the couple will never get a chance to surprise their friends and family that much again.
