Cheryl Gallant, Conservative candidate for the riding of Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, wants to acknowledge some special constituents. As The Huffington Post reported Friday, Gallant took to Twitter to congratulate some recent winners at the Annual Pembroke Old Time Fiddle and Step Dancing Championships.

But Gallant didn’t save her kudos for first place. Although she started off with a winner, she went on to tweet congratulations to 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in several categories. She also acknowledged all the finalists.

Congrats Keith Wilson of Carleton Place on finishing 1st in 65+ Fiddling at the Pembroke Old Time Fiddling & Stepdancing Championships!

The Post published a total of 83 tweets sent out by Gallant, acknowledging what appears to be everyone on the Championships’ official results list.

This is not the first time Gallant has been diligent about singling out local stars. She congratulated runner Melissa Bishop on her victorious race at the Pan Am Games in July.

Congrats to Eganville’s Melissa Bishop on her GOLD @ PANAM Games in the 800m race!

And a month later, congratulated Bishop on breaking a record.

During this federal election, many candidates have gotten into hot water over controversial social media posts. The CBC compiled a list of recent apologies, resignations, and firings, for comments deemed violent, misogynistic, racist or otherwise offensive.

As of yet, no one has faced backlash for being too nice on Twitter.

The Huffington Post said Gallant’s tweets began at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday night and went on until midnight the following day. The author posed the question: “What is happening. Are they even all on Twitter?”

Gallant was first elected to represent Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke in 2000, then as a member of the Canadian Alliance party. She has sat as a Conservative since 2003.

Canadians head to the polls on October 19, 2015.
