Christina Ricci is probably best remembered for her role as Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family back in 1991. But having blossomed and grown into a young woman, Ricci and husband James Heerdegen are expecting their first baby.
The rumors of a potential pregnancy started when Christina Ricci was spotted with her husband by the paparazzi at LAX on Friday. She wore leggings and an oversized top with a belt that clearly showed that she was pregnant.
Back in 2013, Ricci and Heerdegen announced their engagement – along with much fanfare – and tied the knot the following October.
Indeed, Ricci looked stunning on her wedding day in her unique Givenchy Haute Couture high neck wedding dress; the ceremony took place at Harold Pratt House & Peterson Hallon on the Upper East Side of New York City.
The happy couple met on the set of Pan Am in 2011, where Heerdegen worked as a camera dolly grip. It’s also no secret that in 2009 Christina Ricci had a broken engagement from actor Owen Benjamin.
As well as playing the role of Wednesday Addams, Ricci is also well known for other parts. In 1995 she starred in the kids movie Casper; it wasn’t until 1997 that she moved into more adult acting roles, like the one she played in The Ice Storm .
Ricci has plenty more roles under her belt in the days since, in what has proved to be an illustrious acting career, including parts in Sleepy Hollow, Monster, and Penelope. Christina also received an Emmy nomination for her role as a paramedic in Grey’s Anatomy .
But as of now, there has been no official announcement from either Christina Ricci or James Heerdegen about the fact they are expecting. So any speculation about the due date or the sex of the baby is just that – speculation!
