Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton’s daughter, announced on Saturday on Twitter that she has welcomed a baby boy into the world. Chelsea Clinton’s second child, and Hillary’s second grandchild, is named Aidan.
According to The Kansas City Star , the 36-year-old daughter to former-president Bill Clinton, and hopeful president Hillary Clinton, lives in New York. She and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, who is a hedge fund manager, are also the proud parents of a 20-month-year-old girl named Charlotte.
Marc and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of our son, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky.

The birth of Aidan makes Hillary and Bill Clinton grandparents two times over. Clinton supporters are no stranger to Hillary regularly mentioning her daughter, Chelsea, and her granddaughter, Charlotte, at political events. Hillary is frequently asked questions about how the baby is doing when she works rope lines after a political event. People enjoy asking Clinton all about how the baby is progressing in terms of walking and talking.
While they talk about Charlotte all of the time, the granddaughter has not made an appearance along the campaign trail. Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, would like the child to have some semblance or privacy as she grows.

“Until it happened to me, I just could not understand the impact,” Clinton said as she tried to explain what becoming a grandparent felt like. “It is truly like falling in love all over again. There is nothing like it.”
“It’s transformational and until you did it, it is hard to know. And it has for me been an absolutely life changing experience.”
Clinton, like most grandparents, didn’t realize you could love anyone as much as you love your own children and spouse until your children give birth to their own children and you become a grandparent. Clinton believes the only way to truly understand how it feels is to become a grandparent yourself, but Clinton thought it was a magical experience.
In a statement from the office of the former president Bill Clinton, he and Mrs. Clinton explained their joy.
“We are all over the moon as Chelsea and Marc welcome Charlotte’s little brother to the world and grateful for our many blessings. Chelsea and Aidan are both doing well and enjoying this very special time together.”
The Wall Street Journal reports that there has yet to be any word regarding whether the youngest two members of the growing Clinton-Mezvinsky family will be present at the Democratic convention happening next month in Philadelphia. Given the fact that Aidan will be just a month old and the Clinton family has yet to bring Charlotte into the campaign, it would not be surprising for the two baby Clintons to be absent during the nominating convention.
Chelsea Clinton originally married her husband, who is the son of two former members of the U.S. Congress, back in 2010. Ever since Chelsea got married, both Hillary and Bill had applied good-natured public pressure on their daughter and her husband to give them grandchildren.
In April of 2012, Hillary Clinton revealed that it really wasn’t up to her to decide whether or not she would ever get to hold the title of grandma. She did, however, say she would like to have the title. She also revealed that she thought she would be very good at having the title. This is just one of many examples of the “good-natured” pressure Chelsea received from her parents regarding grandchildren.

Chelsea Clinton has frequently said her parents were “unapologetic” when it came to their pleas for their daughter to give them grandchildren. “They are not shy about saying that in public and private.”
“We are overjoyed to be grandparents again with the arrival of our grandson, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky, born on Saturday, June 18, 2016.”
