The Cheezburger Network has acquired the site Know Your Meme from Rocketboom for a figure believed to be in the low seven figures.
Founded in 2007 as a spin-off from Rocketboom, Know Your Meme chronicles web memes in an encyclopedic form and offers viewers a regular video series based on the latest in memes.
Know Your Meme ranks at 4,629 on Alexa and 2,919 on Compete. Reports suggest that the site attracts some 1.3 million unique visitors a month, and Quantcast shows page views at just below 20 million a month.
The Cheezburger Network, founded off the popular site I Can Has Cheezburger, took at $30 million funding round in January.
