Charlie Sheen may have decided that it was time to call it a day on his relationship with former porn star Brett Rossi, but at least he let her keep the $100,000 engagement ring he bought when he popped the question earlier this year.
According to a report on the Radar Online website today, despite the sudden break-up between Sheen and Rossi, Charlie and Brett shared some great times together, and he wants her to keep the ring as a memento of their time together.
An inside source told the publication , “Charlie bought the ring for Brett and would never ask for it back. Brett can do whatever she wants with the ring, and will also keep all of the clothing, handbags, and other jewelry he gave her. Charlie is extremely generous with the people he cares about.”
The same publication reported yesterday that Charlie Sheen’s rep, Jeff Ballard, released a statement to them saying that while Charlie thinks Brett is a “terrific gal,” he wants to focus his attentions on being a father, for the time being. In other words, he’s done with her and this is the excuse he is giving.
In the statement, Sheen said the following about Rossi.
“(We) had a great year together as we traveled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list. She’s a terrific gal, but we’ve mutually decided to go our separate ways and to not spend the rest of our lives together. I’ve decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now. I still have tremendous fondness for her and I wish her all the best.”
The big day, which was set for November 22, would have been Charlie Sheen’s fourth wedding and the second for Rossi.
Perhaps the couple have had enough experience with marriage themselves to know that if things aren’t perfect, it’s probably best not to proceed, as so many Hollywood celebrities do, with the result usually being a train-wreck, when the relationship breaks down.
