Carmen Electra and her Baywatch swimsuit are once again dazzling the adoring eyes of fans.
Fifteen years have passed since the starlet caused hearts to race around the globe when she graced television screens across the globe as part of the Baywatch cast.
The actress was 25-years-old when she sported the racy red swimsuit that became synonymous with the popular show about a group of lifeguards. Now, at the age of 40, Carmen Electra is proving that she can still turn heads and send tongues wagging.
The Toronto Sun writes that the actress, born Tara Leigh Patrick, has stepped into her Baywatch suit once again, looking just as beautiful — if not better — than she did during her TV lifeguard days.
Carmen Electra revisited her Baywatch look for a challenge issued by In Touch magazine, striking a pose in the iconic outfit that rocketed her to mainstream stardom.
The publication wanted to see just how much the bombshell had changed since her role on the hit series.
The actress decided to accept the challenge, although she reportedly admits that she had some reservations about squeezing into the daring swimsuit after all this time.
According to Carmen Electra, the hesitation quickly faded as she slipped into the slinky number. The actress explained her reaction to In Touch :
“Once I got it on, I felt amazing. It was a million times better than I thought it would be.”
The actress credits her healthy lifestyle to keeping her body in shape. While she allows herself the occasional sweet treat, she maintains a vegetable and protein based diet and relies on the discipline she learned through dance and ballet to keep fit.
Electra also indicated to In Touch that she would love to pose for Playboy again:
“[I’d say] Yes! I love Playboy – they supported me from the beginning. I heard I’ve had the third-most covers of anyone, after Pamela [Anderson] and Anna Nicole Smith. I’m very proud of that!”
