California Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office took to X to express their concerns after President Donald Trump posted a barrage of messages on his Truth Social account.
Some of these messages were directed at the state of California and its governor, and most of them were very obviously generated by Artificial Intelligence, which prompted his office to release a statement in order to make things clear once and for all.
Trump’s wild disarray on the public forum called for a public response from Newsom’s office. In the span of only 60 minutes, the President reportedly posted 56 times, citing baseless statements as proven facts.
Trump claimed that 85% of the Walmart stores in California are closing. As his source of information, he shared a screenshot from a MAGA X account that claims that the stores are shutting down because of California’s $22 per hour minimum wage policy.
Newsom’s office rebuked this claim, stating that 303 stores in California are still open.
In the last 60 minutes, the President has posted 56 times on Truth Social.
One post claims Walmart is closing 85% of its California stores because of our “$22 minimum wage.”
Another features an AI-generated video in which a robot accuses Governor Newsom of running a drug-money…

In one of the videos posted by the POTUS, he took a direct jab at Governor Newsom, stating that he has close ties with the Mexican Cartel and has been running a money laundering scheme straight out of his California office.
The Governor’s office expressed sheer disbelief at the intensity of the lies being spread. “We cannot believe we have to say any of this out loud. We cannot believe this is real life. And we truly cannot believe this man has the nuclear codes. Deep breaths, everyone. Three more years,” they added.

Trump, who has repeatedly poked fun at former President Joe Biden‘s medical history in the past, sparked fresh concerns surrounding his allegedly declining mental state with the latest incident.
The POTUS, who will turn 80 soon, has been criticized over his unfiltered public presence. He has repeatedly fallen asleep during important meeting, lost his way with words mid-topic, or started talking about irrelevant topics like the time he started discussing birds and whales during a meeting with the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
He once recalled the story of his uncle, John Trump, teaching “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski. However, it could never be true as his uncle died in 1985, while Ted’s identity wasn’t revealed until the 90s. Recently at the World Economic Forum, he kept stuttering while taking the name of Greenland, further fueling the rumors.
This is not the first time the president’s social media presence has sparked outrage and frustration. Trump and his team have been accused of posting edited photos and videos and sharing AI-generated media.
