Bryan Cranston has offended his former Mighty Morphin Power Rangers castmate by joking about his sexuality, according to the Daily Mail . David Yost revealed that he was hurt by the joke made by the Breaking Bad star.

Yost, who played Blue Power Ranger Billy Cranston (that character was named after Bryan Cranston by the show’s writers) on the 1993 show, revealed in his interview with NBC Out that he faced homophobia in Hollywood throughout his acting career.
“I just wanted to be an actor, and in the 90s you didn’t admit you were gay, because if you did, you weren’t going to be a working actor per se.”
So, the former co-star of Bryan Cranston tried to “protect” that as much as possible, he revealed, adding that he was very hurt every time someone called him “the f-word” on set. And it was the times when people were gossiping about Yost’s sexuality but didn’t know for sure.
Yost revealed that it was “very frustrating” for him because he didn’t want to be gay, and people around him turned his life into a nightmare during the years of starring on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the period between 1993 and 1996.

Yost, who starred alongside Bryan Cranston on the hit series, revealed that he even became suicidal after enduring homophobia while working on the show. Yost also revealed that he was offended by Bryan Cranston’s comments made when working on the series with him.
In his interview with IGN , Bryan Cranston said the Blue Power Ranger’s last name is Cranston, adding that he is the “fey one.” Cranston, who received worldwide recognition thanks to his role of Walter White in the hit AMC series Breaking Bad , did voiceover work on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and had recently been cast to appear in an upcoming Power Rangers film.
The “fey” word is commonly used to make fun of homosexuals and purportedly refers to “fairy-like” qualities, gestures, and mannerisms. So, the fact that Bryan Cranston used this word in his interview was interpreted by Yost as an attack against his sexuality.
“When I read that interview, which took place about a year before I came out publicly, it really hurt me.”
While the interview was recorded nearly a year before Yost came out publicly, there had nonetheless been continuous rumors about Yost’s sexuality. The 47-year-old actor also said that Bryan Cranston probably thought he was being funny, but he heard similar things while working on the show, and “it gets to you.”
After hearing Yost’s NBC Out comments, Bryan Cranston apologized, claiming he didn’t remember joking about his former castmate’s sexuality, but accepting responsibility for the “thoughtless remark.”

Since his famous role as the Blue Power Ranger in the 1990s series, Yost has appeared in a number of reality TV shows, as well as various films. Bryan Cranston, meanwhile, has received worldwide recognition since the 90s mainly thanks to his role on Breaking Bad .
In other news, Bryan Cranston has recently trashed Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump, according to The Daily Beast . The actor called Trump a number of things such as “an anomaly to the human race” and “bizarre.”

While promoting his new film, The Infiltrator , Bryan Cranston, who voiced his support for Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton, wasn’t restrained in his remarks about Trump, saying that the GOP nominee is “a bizarre human being” who is unfit for the White House.
“Now, the X factor is Trump. He’s an anomaly to politics and an anomaly to the human race, as far as I’m concerned. He’s just a bizarre human being.”
