Sandra Bullock had an experience this morning that no one wants to ever go through. Early in the morning, a man tried to break into Bullock’s home while she was present in her West Hollywood pad.
Law enforcement officials told TMZ the break-in occurred around 6:30 a.m., and while the Academy Award winning actress was present, she was not hurt. As of right now, it’s uncertain if the man who broke into her home was stalking the actress or if he had plans to burglarize her home, but police are currently investigating the case.
Even though Sandra Bullock was inside the home, it was unclear whether or not her 4-year-old son Louis was present during the attempted break-in.
The man attempting to break into Sandra Bullock’s home was said to be a “ hot prowler suspect ” and was “checking out the house.” Fortunately, police officers were able to arrest the suspect.
According to Muria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department, the 39-year-old man was in police custody by 9 a.m. and was said to be still awaiting charges.
When Sandra Bullock’s rep was asked for comment, they had no response.
Prior to the home invader scare, Sandra’s night was a celebratory one. The 49-year-old actress was being honored in Los Angeles with the Decade of Hotness award. The honor was bestowed upon Bullock by her past co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant and Keanu Reeves at the Guys Choice Awards.
When Bullock accepted the award, she joked during her speech, “I feel like I’m at my funeral. Decade of Hotness..my question was what decade? I have several under my belt.”
Of the title, Hugh Grant described Bullock as deserving, saying she was once “sneaky hot,” but worked her way up to being “ just hot .”
During her speech, Bullock referenced her home:
“I’m still convinced I’m up here because someone dropped out and they needed someone quickly and we know I’m home on Saturdays. How many people hold this up and say, ‘I’m so horny!’ This is an amazing slingshot for a 49-year-old.”
There’s also no word on whether or not Bullock’s rumored new beau, Chris Evans , was present in the home or if he reached out to her after the prowler was arrested.
