Breaking Bad Mural Pays Tribute To Heisenberg

An artistic Breaking Bad fan has created a decadent mural tribute to the show’s lead character, Walter White, by painting an image of his meth-dealing alter ego, Heisenberg, in Manchester, England.

The piece was created by Akse P19, a French born graffiti artist, who decorated the wall in Tib Street, which is owned by the Out House Project, Manchester’s public art champions.

Akse P19’s painting shows Heisenberg wearing his traditional pork pie hat, glasses, and goatee, while he also provides a menacing glare too.

Passers by have since admired the artist’s handiwork and a plethora of people have taken to social media to spread the word about the impressive creation.

Akse P19 has since told Mancunian Matters the reasoning behind his vision: “I started a personal project [called] ‘Psychopaths Project’ and I thought Heisenberg would be a good one to paint. I also read an article last year about a crystal meth lab that was found in the Northern Quarter off Tib Street in 2011. So I thought that I had to paint Heisenberg around there but could not find any legal walls.”

He then added, “Three weeks ago people from the Out House Project contacted me for two new walls to feature on Tib Street! That was it, after nearly a year waiting to paint Heisenberg I finally got the perfect spot.”

However, fans have been quick to criticise Akse P19, as the artist painted Heisenberg with black eyes, when Bryan Cranston, the actor who depicts Walter White, actually has blue eyes.

There are only 6 more episodes of Breaking Bad left, and they will see Walt go up against his DEA agent brother-in-law, Hank, who found out that he was Heisenberg at the end of last season’s run of episodes.

Vince Gilligan has confirmed that the final run of episodes are spell-binding, noting, “It’s a very exciting ride and the show does not go out with a whimper.”
