is reporting that Bobby Brown was arrested and booked on suspicion of DUI in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.
According to the report, the 43-year-old singer was pulled over around 1 am at Ventura Boulevard and Corbin Avenue in Tarzana. Brown, the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston, was allegedly driving erratically on the Los Angeles street when police officers pulled him over and detected the scent of alcohol in the vehicle.
He did a field sobriety test and failed, so they took him in on suspicion of DUI charges.
OTRC.com notes this is Brown’s second DUI arrest in Tarzana this year. After pleading no contest to a DUI charge in March, the New Edition singer was placed on three years’ summary probation and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education program.
Brown was also booked for DUI in Florida in 1996, so this marks his third drunken driving arrest. During his probation for the 1996 arrest, Bobby tested positive for cocaine, which led to another arrest.

The series, which debuts Wednesday, October 24 at 9 pm on Lifetime, consists of over 14 half-hour episodes and will follow the Houston family as they attempt to move on from the loss of Whitney.
