Blind Mom Sees Baby In Her Womb With 3D Ultrasound [Video]

A blind mom has seen her baby for the first time. For many of us, that sounds impossible, but thanks to a video from Huggies Brazil, we can actually see how it was done.

Another woman had a similar brush with what seemed impossible. She had what she allegedly called an intuition that her husband was in trouble, and arriving home, found him trapped under the SUV , as previously reported by the Inquisitr .

While one may be based entirely on debatable coincidence, the other is a technological breakthrough involving 3D ultrasound printing.

When Tatiana Guerra had lost her sight at the age of 17, she had no idea she would ever see anything again, never mind her unborn child still in her womb. Much like many inventive people who have lost their vision, this blind mom saw her baby with her hands.

How did that happen?

Her doctor used a 3D printer in connection with Tatiana’s ultrasound to print out what her son Murilo looked like, and asked her an interesting question.

“If you could touch him, would that let you know what he’s like?”

The 30-year-old mother said yes, and the doctor handed her a package wrapped in cloth and told her, “That’s your son.”

Tatiana unwrapped the slab of plastic, onto which was printed a 3D version of what her son looked like. The joy in her eyes was irreplaceable as she ran her fingers along the surface of the plastic slab.

This method of producing 3D printed ultrasounds is a new trend in modern parenting, says the Huffington Post , showing expecting moms what their children look like before they’re even born. For those moms, including Tatiana Guerra, the opportunity to “hold their expected bundle of joy in their hands before the moment of birth” is one they cherish.

What do you think about this blind mom seeing her baby through such a technological breakthrough?
