Blake Shelton is known for having fun and his drinking ways. Since his very public split from Miranda Lambert, fans have been worried that he might take it too far. People recently did an interview with Shelton , and he shared that he drinks when is nervous, which of course is often considering Blake performs on stage all the time and is part of The Voice , which is a live television show. Shelton admits that it has been a weird year for him, but is happy that he has been able to put out new music.
Shelton recently played the iHeartRadio Festival. He was shocked to hear J. Lo. on stage, and then kind of wondered why he was even there. Of course, the nerves set in, and Blake’s solution was to just drink a little bit more before going on stage for his 25-minute set. Regardless Blake Shelton always handles himself well on stage. Shelton was drinking out of a red solo cup before the show when he explained that drinking helps to calm the nerves.
“So then, I just want y’all to know, I got nervous and I’m still nervous right now, and when I get nervous I tend to drink a little bit, okay. I’m just being honest with you.”
Blake Shelton has shared with crowds in the past that he does tend to drink more when the nerves set in. There have been rumors flying that Blake is headed to rehab after his split from Miranda Lambert, but sources, including Blake himself, say that this is just not the truth.
Actually at this time, Blake Shelton is staying very busy with concerts and his upcoming season of The Voice . CMT shared that Blake has a new love in his life, but it just happens to be a Nissan Frontier and not a woman. Shelton did tease on Twitter that hopefully the new truck would help him to get a date, but if he is dating then he isn’t sharing who.
The new season of The Voice will start airing on NBC on September 21. Blake Shelton will be returning alongside Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Adam Levine. This will give everyone a chance to see how Shelton is doing post-split, and hopefully he won’t end up too nervous and drinking to the point that he doesn’t do a great job on live television.
