Batman Arkham Collection has been listed on Amazon in the UK for a Fall 2014 release. This could be Rocksteady and Warner Bros’ way of sating Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 fans who won’t be getting the next installment.
You read that right: Arkham Knight isn’t going to be on the last gen consoles, giving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners a full experience instead of making a port limited to what the previous consoles could do. If you want to drive the Batmobile and discover who it is behind the mask of the new game’s villain, you’ll need to put some money into one of the newer consoles.
Sorry, Nintendo Wii U and 3DS gamers, at this point you will be missing out on all of these upcoming releases. Hopefully Mario Kart 8 is truly a taste of things to come and Nintendo can prove they’re worthy of more than bare-bones ports of last gen titles.

Batman Arkham Collection will include Asylum , City , and Origins all in one package for around 40 pounds, which is probably around $60 here in the US when it arrives, the standard price for all new games. The PC version will receive Game of the Year editions of the first two games in the collection while the PS3 exclusive Knightfall content will remain exclusive.
While the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be getting the finale to the series in 2015, the previous generations will have to make do with getting the first three games in a collection. Of course, with other games ( The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , EA’s Star Wars games) being modeled after what has been hailed as the best superhero game series of all time, this is still quite a deal.
Perhaps, if the current gen consoles can finally be made backwards-compatible, their owners can enjoy the entire collection. PC gamers are already guaranteed to have them all.
