Ubisoft has announced their partnership with Cryptozoic Entertainment in creating an official tabletop Assassin’s Creed board game based off the famous series.

In a related report by The Inquisitr , Assassin’s Creed 5 is to be announced soon and we’ll likely learn the reallocation and setting as well as the 2014 release date .

As first reported on IGN , Assassin’s Creed Arena is designed for players fifteen years and older. The premise of the game is explained as a two to four player game of cat-and-mouse in which players try to garner the most kills. Ubisoft communications associate Anne Lewis had this to say about the board game.

“It’s very high-risk, high-reward and has a lot of rules.”

When it comes to tabletop games made by Cryptozoic Entertainment, the rules may be aplenty abound, but it is fun-factor of playing a tabletop game based off a popular license that brings in entertainment. Cryptozoic Entertainment is well known for making tabletop and card games based off of famous video games and television shows such as Castle, Big Bang Theory, The Walking Dead, Adventure Time and many others as seen at their online store .

Anne Lewis and others in the communications department at Ubisoft understand that having too many rules to a game can be intimidating, thus they’ve written up a quick guide on the Ubisoft blog .

Assassin’s Creed Arena is scheduled for a February 26th release and will retail for $50. Right now, it can be pre-ordered at the Cryptozoic Entertainment Online Store .
