A woman in Winfield, Mo. apparently got so angry at the neighbor kids for throwing rocks at her home that she came at them with a chainsaw while wearing a ski mask .
“I come out of my door and hear her screaming at the kids,” neighbor Patty Fleming said. “The boys start walking and she starts walking towards them with her skull mask and her chainsaw , shaking it like she was going to hurt the kids.”
After Herzog claimed that the kids threw rocks at her home, Fleming said admitted that her response was excessive.
“I’m like, ‘You’re an adult. If the kids are throwing rocks — No. 1, they weren’t — you know, rocks versus a chainsaw, come on,’” Fleming said.
Patricia Manker contacted the police after she witnessed the 50-year-old woman screaming at her son and his friend while coming at them with a chainsaw.
According to Manker, Lynn Marie Herzog has also been caught videotaping and taking photos of neighborhood kids.
Herzog was arrested and charged with felony harassment and could face up to four years in prison if found guilty. Some of her neighbors, however, think that it would be more appropriate to put Herzog in a mental hospital.
Lesa Vossenkemper said that Herzog threatened her mentally disabled adult son so long that he had to file a protection order against her. “Our son is so terrified of her, that he’s afraid she’s going to wind up in the house with him and do something to him,” she said.
Vossenkemper also admitted that she’s tired of living in fear. “She scares me. I don’t let a whole lot scare me but she does.”
