Green Bay Packers fans know Aaron Rodgers can tune up opposing defenses , and they know he can rock some air guitar. But Rodgers certainly surprised one fan with a special six-string session recently.
Kelly suffers from lives with spina bifida , a birth defect affecting her spine. For her and other sufferers others affected, the backbone that protects the spinal cord does not form and close as it should. Kelly is one of thousands of disabled people helped by IndependenceFirst, an organization that assists people with disabilities in the Milwaukee, Wisc. area. Kelly might not be as mobile as Aaron Rodgers, walking with the assistance of crutches, but she gets around pretty well.
On a recent trip to the Pabst Theater, Kelly, an avid singer, was set to record a commercial for IndependenceFirst. She met some professional musicians and got to check out the mixing and editing equipment. Thanks to itsAaron.com , Kelly had a special guest recording artist. Musically, she’s a fan of Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and One Direction. Now, being a big Green Bay Packers fan, she’s naturally also a fan of Aaron Rodgers, evident by the look on her face when he walked up to offer his opinion on the song with which she was playing around.
“I think it’s a pretty good beat,” Rodgers said. “I really do.”
Cue the gushing, from Kelly and viewers alike.

Kelly can certainly attest to having her world changed. Rodgers, a self-taught guitarist, admits to her he’s not as talented as the other folks but her gushing giggle and ever-present smile makes it clear Aaron Rodgers made her day just by being there. She learned they have a shared appreciation for One Direction’s Harry Styles, who happens to be a Packers and Aaron Rodgers fan as well.
