Vin Diesel is just as excited as you are about Fast and Furious 7 . To show you how pumped he is for the upcoming flick, the actor shared some brand new footage from the set of the sequel.

Production is presently underway on Universal Pictures’ insanely popular franchise. Since the last installment was a huge hit at the box office, the studio is wasting no time putting together another motion picture. Filming on the flick started earlier this month.

Not only will next year’s Fast and Furious 7 feature several of the series regulars, the sequel also stars Tokyo Drift alum Lucas Black . Although the third flick in the franchise wasn’t a huge hit with hardcore fans, this isn’t stopping the studio from putting Black back into the cinematic mix.

Vin Diesel recently shared a photo from the set of the flick featuring Lucas Black and director James Wan . The incredibly busy actor also posted a video which thanked fans for supporting the series. Say what you will about Diesel, but the guy clearly enjoys what he does for a living.

Director Justin Lin was largely responsible for getting the franchise back on the right track. After stumbling a bit with Tokyo Drift , Lin seemed to find his footing with 2009’s Fast and Furious . Unlike most Hollywood series, the sequels seem to get bigger and better with each follow-up.

However, Lin decided not to direct Fast and Furious 7 . This prompted Universal Pictures to tap The Conjuring and Insidious 2 mastermind James Wan for the flick. Vin Diesel seems happy with the studio’s choice.

“I’m very excited about ‘Fast 7.’ We have the director that the studio brought on in James Wan, who had already conquered the horror thriller film genre and is going to bring some nuances to this seventh film. It’s going to be a new dynamic,” the actor recently explained.

Here’s the pic featuring Diesel, Wan, and Black .
