Judge Judy has responded to a recent lawsuit over a set of China dishes.

The television personality found herself the subject of a lawsuit after she purchased a set of dishes from producer Randy Douthit. Since the transaction reportedly took place without the consent of his ex-wife Patric Jones, she decided to file a lawsuit against the TV judge.

However, Judge Judy has responded to the lawsuit by stating that she intends to simply return the dishes to her producer. She originally paid $50,000 for the set.

“This very unpleasant lady doesn’t give a hoot about dishes. She cares about pressuring her ex-husband and the way to do that is to attempt to embarrass me,” she explained to TMZ .

She added, “As Ms. Jones and her attorney assert, the items are community property, they are being packed and returned to Mr. Douthit [her producer] and she can proceed with her claim in divorce court.”

Judge Judy said she didn’t want to be a part of the media circus Patric Jones and her attorney are attempting to stir up around the dishes. Instead of taking the bait, the TV judge will simply eat the $50,000 loss instead.

It’s currently being reportedly that the case between the Judge Judy producer and his ex-wife has been settled. Jones was able to retrieve the dishes after paying her former husband around $12,500 .

“The sentimental value of this wedding china was that when [Douthit] finally could afford to get it, he got it for [Jones] and she went with her father to pick it out. It was one of the last things that she did with her dad before he died,” Jones’ lawyer said in a recent statement.

In her original lawsuit against Judge Judy, Jones wanted the return of the dishes in addition to $500,000 in punitive damages. She was also looking to recoup her court costs.
