Fifty Shades of Grey star Charlie Hunnam recently received a handful of bodyguards from the kind and thoughtful folks at Universal Pictures.
Although filming on the hotly-anticipated adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic novel hasn’t begun yet, this probably won’t stop fans of the book from swarming the actor. In order to keep these people in line, the studio behind the flick has hired a small squadron of bodyguards for the star.
According to The Hollywood Reporters , Universal scored some extra protection for Charlie Hunnam for the recent premiere of Sons of Anachy in Hollywood earlier this month. FX may produce the television series, but the studio reportedly footed the bill for the additional muscle.
Worst Previews reports that Hunnam is already the subject of fan obsession. In hopes of scoring an autograph for the Fifty Shades of Grey star, E.L. James fanatics have recently started following the actor around .
The Fifty Shades of Grey movie one of the biggest motion pictures events in recent memory. Fans have followed the flick’s genesis with the same glee that is generally associated with comic book and superhero movies.
Although the movie will feature plenty of kinky sex, Charlie Hunnam doesn’t seem too worried about the flick. According to Metro , the actor has plenty of experience with on-screen sexuality as the former star of Queer as Folk .
“You know what, I had such a baptism of fire with regards to sexuality on camera at the beginning of my career. Now I am 16 years older and more mature so I don’t anticipate them being too much of a problem. It’s like anything else, just an exciting challenge,” the actor explained.
He added, “I’ll never use a body double. I’m not worried.”
