Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi said that she’s hoping she has a gay son at some point in the future.
Snooki has connections in the LGBT community , and has long supported causes like marriage equality. Though she used to be known for her partying, arrests, excessive drinking and being punched in the face, the 25-year-old has recently turned her reality TV stardom into support for a number of good causes.
Additionally, she has settled down with a 9-month-old son, Lorenzo.
Both Snooki and her Jersey Shore gal pal Jenni “JWoww” Farley have been frequent supporters and contributors to the Trevor Project, a group that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBT youth.
Just in case there was any doubt that Snooki is a friend to the LGBT community, a comment she made at the Trevor Project’s New York City event Tuesday should erase all doubt.
She revealed that she would be proud to have a gay son someday.
“Me and Jenni weren’t exactly the best role models. But now that I’m a mom, I’m so grateful for The Trevor Project to support the LGBT youth so they have someone there for them because I’m praying I have a gay little boy one day.”
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight , JWoww added a bit more to Snooki’s comments :
“We’re huge supporters of the LGBT community … so we would do anything to help them and to protect them. We feel like moms when it comes to our gays. We really do,” he said.
I wonder if Lorenzo is gay?
