Chronicle scribe Max Landis claims he’s working on a Wonder Woman movie. He intends to pitch the project to the folks at Warner Bros.
Although the character enjoyed a successful small-screen run during the 70s, getting her back on television has proved somewhat difficult. However, that isn’t stopping Landis from attempting to craft a motion picture centered around the iconic superhero .
Details about the Wonder Woman movie are few and far between as of this writing. In fact, there’s a strong possibility that the studio could pass on the idea. However, the writer intends to give it his best shot.
Max Landis revealed his plans for the flick during a recent chat on Reddit . However, the screenwriter stopped short of discussing any specific details about the direction his story is taking. It’s also unclear when he intends to have the pitch ready to roll for Warner Bros.
While many people have tried to develop a live-action Wonder Woman tale in recent days, no one has successfully put an adaptation together. Ally McBeal creator David K. Kelley tried to develop a television show around the character a few years ago. However, the project never made it out of the gate.
Although Kelley and company crafted a pilot for the Wonder Woman TV show , the network ultimately decided to pass on the series. Despite his failure to bring her to the small screen, the Chicago Hope mastermind still believes the character is “viable.”
“We had a lot that was right about it and a great cast. In time, we could have fixed what we had done wrong, we just didn’t get that chance,” Kelley recently explained.
Although a film hasn’t happened yet, at least we have this nifty fan trailer.
