RGIII is going to marry his longtime girlfriend, Rebecca Liddicoat, this summer.
Robert Griffin III’s mother Jackie revealed the news today during a chat with FoxDC . Liddicoat and the Washington Redskins quarterback have been engaged since RGIII was playing at Baylor in 2010 but Jackie said that they will finally tie the knot this summer.
The exact date isn’t known but the Washington Post did some snooping and found a registry for Robert Griffin III and Rebeca Liddicoat at Bed Bath and Beyond . If the registry is real, then you should expect RGIII to marry his longtime girlfriend on July 6.
Griffin hasn’t commented on the wedding date yet.
The Washington Redskins quarterback quickly became one of the most popular faces in the NFL after a phenomenal rookie season. Griffin’s jersey set a sales record last year as the Heisman trophy winner led the team to the division title. Unfortunately, Griffin III injured his ACL during week 14 and had to watch the team’s Super Bowl hopes die from the sidelines.
Griffin has been working hard this off-season and hopes to make his return by week 1 of the 2013 NFL season . The Redskins quarterback will have to take a slight break from his rehab, however, to marry his fiancee this Summer.
