Beyond: Two Souls was a bit of a mystery until it was finally officially unveiled this weekend at the Tribeca film festival. Along with an official trailer and a 35 minute scene from the game it was revealed that the game itself is 10 hours long.

That means that after you watch the scene that Quantic Dream released on Saturday you will have seen about six percent of the entire game. The game itself is so artisticly put together that many people who aren’t into games have wondered if this might actually be a movie.

Including Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe in the cast of the game has certainly helped advance that confusion. Beyond: Two Souls is certainly a video game when you get right down to it.

The game features Page as “Jodie” a troubled young woman who apparently also has some very impressive powers. The trailers and scenes don’t give you all the info but it appears that the powers come from some sort of otherworldly being.

Quantic Dream CEO David Cage said that the deep story that accompanies its games actually help people want to finish their games. Cage claimed that 75 percent of people who played Heavy Rain finished it.

That is a massive jump from the usual 20 percent that Cage claims usually finish a video game.

If the game is indeed 10 hours long, it is right in line with other games made by the studio. Heavy Rain takes about 8 to 12 hours to complete. Indigo Prophecy took about eight hours on average to complete.

Cage has said in the past that there have been offers for his studio to take their games onto other platforms. The CEO says that his company is sticking with Sony exclusivity mainly because Sony was willing to give Heavy Rain a shot when no one else would.

Beyond: Two Souls is due out October 8 .
