PayPal just launched a new Price Matching Program. The initiative went into effect November 1 and runs through December 31, 2012. The program allows price-adjustments on purchases made through PayPal when customers find a lower price within 30 days of the purchase.
The Price Matching Program offers qualifying customers peace of mind when shopping for holiday bargains. There are two important exclusions to the existing money-saving offer. Paypal’s new price match policy does not include sales valid for less than one day. The offer appears to mean that Black Friday hourly sales and doorbusters are not valid for under the new policy.
To qualify for the program, users must be a PayPal Insider, according to the BlackFriday.net website. According to details available on the website, an Insider is a customer who actively spends over $5,000 per year through PayPal.
Although not everyone qualifies for the Christmas season shopping deal, those who do may be able to shop more securely. Trying to decide whether or not to buy a hot holiday toy now or wait until it goes on sale later can be a stressful situation. Even if the cool gadgets or doll is a lot cheaper during a Thanksgiving weekend sale, the item could quickly disappear or not be available in all locations.
If a PayPal Insider buys the Christmas wish list item now and then finds it at a listed at a cheaper price during a qualifying sale, the item appears to qualify for a price match rebate. The toy would already be wrapped and under the tree and a little extra cash would be forthcoming from the online payment processing website.
