Although reports suggest that Blake Lively is pregnant with her first child, a representative for the actress recently denied these rumors.
The Gossip Girl star and husband Ryan Reynolds frequently have to address pregnancy rumors. Despite what you may have read on social media or overheard at the water cooler, the couple isn’t planning to expand their family just yet.
“The story is 100% false. Blake is not pregnant,” a representative for the actress explained to Us Weekly .
However, just because Blake Lively isn’t pregnant now doesn’t mean that she isn’t planning to start a family at some point down the road.
“We both come from big families — my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think,” Ryan Reynolds told Details magazine during an interview last year.
Blake Lively told Allure a while back that she was interested in having a very big family.
“I’ve always wanted a big family Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could,” she said.
Similar rumors started popping up around the same time last year. A rep for the couple was forced to set the record straight about a rumored pregnancy in September of 2012.
Where did this latest rumor start? The recent reports about Blake Lively’s supposed pregnancy seem to have originated with OK Magazine. One of those anonymous sources dropped hints that the actress was expecting her first child.
“It’s pretty obvious Blake is expecting a baby. We’re convinced she’s just waiting to pass the first trimester before she makes an official announcement. Blake’s usually a size 2 or 4 and loves to show off her body in fitted clothes, but now she is going for looser, more draped fits,” the source said.
