Today in Miley Cyrus news , Demi Lovato has issued a warning to the Disney alum over her hardcore partying ways: “Just be careful.”
In a recent interview , Cyrus all but confirmed that a line in her new single “We Can’t Stop” is about the drug ecstasy. The lyric goes “we like to party/dancing with molly,” the word “molly” being a reference to MDMA , unless of course you’re a 10-year-old listener, then it’s a reference to Miley herself.
The self-proclaimed party girl was also very frank about her lifestyle, explaining “You can Google me and you know what I’m up to – you know what the lyric is saying.”
MTV asked fellow songstress Demi Lovato about “We Can’t Stop” and recent Miley Cyrus news, and she admitted that she single caused some concern.
“She knows how I feel about the whole partying thing,” Lovato said. “I love her to death and I’m always like, ‘Just be careful.’”
The two met six years ago on the set of Hannah Montana and have been close friends ever since. Lovato explained that the partying lifestyle does cause her some concern, but that she believes Cyrus is in control.
“[Miley’s] like, ‘Dude, I’m chilling. It’s fine.’” Lovato said. “But I care for her so much that I’m so protective. But she’s good. She’s got a good head on her shoulders.”
Lovato knows what some “harmless” partying can lead to. She completed rehab in 2011 for alcohol and drug abuse.
Oh, and she thinks the word “twerking” is overrated.
“I’m really tired of the word ‘twerking,’” she said. “It’s like ‘swag.’ It’s like, ‘OK, just stop.’ Or ‘YOLO’ – just don’t.”
