Bethenny Frankel and soon-to-be ex-husband Jason Hoppy paid a visit to divorce court this week.
The pair arrived separately at a New York City courthouse on Friday morning to begin hashing out the details of their divorce. Although Frankel was spotted without her wedding band, witnesses said Hoppy was still wearing his ring.
“[She looked] really tired [and] very, very thin,” a source told the folks at E! Online . The insider added that Hoppy was “tan, put together, sharp [and] well rested.”
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy pretty much avoided one another in the halls of the courthouse while waiting to address their pending divorce. The former Real Housewives of New York star did not acknowledge her husband while they waited for everything to begin.
At one point during the morning, the legal teams decided to work out some of the kinks in the hallway while they waited. The lawyers may have discussed some of the finer points, but Frankel and Hoppy did not speak to one another. Sources told People that Jason appeared frustrated, which caused him to pace the halls.
Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy , accompanied by their respective legal teams, finally headed into the courtroom at around 12:30 pm.
Since the meeting was private, it’s unclear what went down behind closed doors. However, it’s believed the topic of conversation was the value of Frankel’s business ventures.
After discussing things with the judge, Frankel and Hoppy reportedly headed into a conference room together for around 40 minutes. Again, it’s unclear what the pair discussed. Both parties refused to comment on the divorce on their way out of the courthouse.
Last month, a source stated that Bethenny Frankel was upset that Jason was still wearing his wedding ring. She reportedly said it made “absolutely no sense” because the two had no plans to get back together.
The source added, “Bethenny thinks he’s doing it to garner sympathy and to appear as the wounded party. Jason told her he’s still wearing the ring so that their two-year-old daughter, Bryn doesn’t get confused.”
