Lindsay Lohan To Barack Obama: ‘Hey, I Still Need A Tax Cut!’

Who knew Lindsay Lohan was into politics? Apparently, LiLo caught President Obama’s Democratic National Convention speech and submitted a small rebuttal to the POTUS via Twitter.

During President Obama’s DNC speech, he said that throughout his first term in office, he has “cut taxes for those who need it: middle-class families, small businesses,” with that very quote getting quite a lot of attention on Twitter. Comeback-trail actress and amateur jewel thief Lindsay Lohan responded to this point, and we’ve got to hand it to her: Even though LiLo’s problems are all a result of her own undoing, her rebuttal to President Obama was flame-free and fairly diplomatic.

“We also need to cut them for those that are listed on Forbes as ‘millionaires’ if they are not,” the Liz & Dick star tweeted at Obama. “You must consider that as well.”

Lindsay Lohan does agree with the president on several points, notes MSN . She re-tweeted several of Obama’s other DNC speech quotes, including: “I don’t believe that firing teachers or kicking students off financial aid will grow the economy” and “If you reject the notion that our government is forever beholden to the highest bidder, you need to stand up in this election.”

Other Hollywood celebrities have taken an opposite stance, and believe that top earners need to pay more taxes, notes Us Weekly . Eva Longoria made this very point during her speech at the DNC, saying that Obama’s opponent Mitt Romney “would raise taxes on middle-class families to cut his own — and mine. And that’s not who we are as a nation, and let me tell you why: because the Eva Longoria who worked at Wendy’s flipping burgers — she needed a tax break. But the Eva Longoria who works on movie sets does not.”

Though the claim that Mitt Romney will raise taxes on the middle class to afford tax breaks for the super-rich has been challenged by fact checkers since the conventions, Longoria’s point that top earners should pay more in taxes is one shared by many left-leaning Hollywood figures.
