Megan Fox has been perceived as a shallow and self-centered sex symbol by both the media and public eye for a long time. In fact, she is often referred to as one of the most attractive women in Hollywood. It was during an interview with Los Angeles Times that Megan Fox claims people assume she is shallow and self-centered because of her appearance and vented her frustrations regarding it. During the interview, Megan Fox went on to discuss how difficult it is for her to pursue any of her intellectual interests because of how people see her and perceive her to be.
“You know how women that are always cast in James Bond movies are pinups but their job in the movies is always being a marine biologist or neuroscientist?” Fox questioned. “I think people react to me that way. Like, ‘Right, she’s studying neurobiology.’ But I am really interested in that.”
Despite wishing the media and public eye would see her differently, People Magazinereports Megan Fox has accepted the fact that there is little point in resisting her sex symbol status. Fox, however, does not plan on letting the way the world sees her from stopping her from pursuing her dreams.
“I’m [Megan Fox] not going to keep fighting the image that exists. I think people, in general, are plebeians that are brainwashed by the type of media that they expose themselves to. People anticipate a shallowness [from me]. They anticipate a self-centeredness and a lack of self-awareness. It doesn’t… matter what I say, or how eloquent a speaker I may be, or how positive my intentions may be. I’m going to be made in what people desire me to be.”
During the interview, Megan Fox insisted that there was far more to her than just gorgeous bone structure, flawless skin, and an impressive figure. Fox isn’t denying that she has always wanted to be an actress, but she thinks her passion may be a career path other than acting.
“I [Megan Fox] don’t think acting is my ultimate passion. I have other skill sets and gifts that are much, much stronger that I am obligated to exercise and use. I’m really more intellectually minded. I’ve always been into alternative history, antiquities, archaeology.”
It was just a few months ago that Megan Fox shocked her fans when she announced she and her husband were going to give their relationship another try because they were expecting their third child together. The Hollywood Gossip reported that Megan and her husband decided to try to work on themselves and their relationship, so they could be together as a family for the sake of their children.

Fans found the news of her pregnancy so showing because it was in August of last year that Fox originally filed for divorce from her husband. At the time of filing, she claimed the two had irreconcilable differences. However, the two still had a huge physical attraction for each other – evident by the unborn baby – and the attraction never went away. Megan Fox is due to give birth to her third baby “at any minute.”
As far as what Megan Fox considers to be an ideal career choice, she had this to say during the interview, “If I ended up working for Vice, that would be a dream. I don’t know how that could ever work, but I do have a little bit of a journalistic streak and I’m also reckless enough to do well in that field, I think.”
