George Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin’s shooter, is obviously not a gun control fan. So when he saw Obama’s crying during a speech about new U.S. gun control laws, Zimmerman blasted the president, calling him a “disgrace to the country.” Zimmerman also seems to think Obama might be faking those “crocodile tears,” which is an idea becoming quite popular with many others on social media.

In a related report by the Inquisitr , some have compared Obama’s tears to Adolf Hitler’s crying over Nazi Germany’s gun control laws, but did Hitler really support gun rights?

Obama’s crying during his speech happened to coincide with a section where he spoke about how Adam Lanza shot and killed 20 little children during the 2012 Sandy Hook elementary school massacre.

“Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad. And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day,” he said.

Some doubt the president’s sincerity in weeping. TMZ caught up with George Zimmerman while leaving a target shooting range near Orlando, Florida. While the man became infamous for shooting and killing a black teenager in 2012, Zimmerman believes Obama is a disgrace based upon the gun control video.

“He made an announcement and [all] I could think when I saw it was: crocodile tears,” Zimmerman said.

He’s not alone in making such a comparison. Actor James Woods also called out Obama on Twitter.

Not everyone agrees with Zimmerman’s interpretation that Obama’s tears were fake . For example, Donald Trump actually came out in support of the president.

“I actually think he was sincere,” Trump said. “I’ll probably go down about 5 points in the polls by saying that.”

But Zimmerman was not finished with tearing into Obama’s speech.

“The man is a disgrace to the country,” said Zimmerman. “He’s a disgrace to the armed forces. He stood there and pretended to cry and mentioned mass shootings and conveniently left out Fort Hood.”

During the speech on gun control, Obama mentioned a variety of mass shootings, but the president did leave out the Fort Hood shooting of 2009, where Nidal Hasan, a U.S. Army major and psychiatrist, fatally shot 13 people and injured more than 30 others. The Obama administration faced criticism because the incident was labeled as “workplace violence” instead of terrorism.

According to George Zimmerman, Obama is also abusing the presidential power of giving executive orders.

“I watched enough to get sick over it. What a piece of garbage,” Zimmerman said. “That’s Obama – he’s trying to abuse the executive privilege and turn America into a dictatorship again, you know?”

While speaking to Fox and Friends , Donald Trump suggested that Obama is being sincere about wanting to combat a real problem in America, but Trump believes focusing on mental health is the solution, not more gun control laws.

“It’s a thing that [Obama] feels — I think he’s incorrect about it, they’re just taking chunks and chunks out of the Second Amendment, but I think he probably means well,” Trump said, according to the Hill . “People need protection. They have to have protection. It’s a very serious problem.”

Other famous individuals have commented on Obama’s executive order. For example, Charlie Daniels linked Obama’s concern for criminals getting firearms to Obama’s pardon of around 6,000 convicted drug felons in recent months.

Other memes have started to go viral on Twitter, including ones that highlight how Obama’s crying may be interpreted by behavior analysts.
