Selena Gomez was seen cavorting with an unidentified male at a beach party on Monday, with boyfriend Justin Bieber nowhere to be found. She appears to be flirting with the male and enjoying herself in his company, but is this just an innocent misunderstanding a la the case of Miley Cyrus and her cozy unidentified man-friend ?
19-year-old Gomez was spotted sans-Bieber at a Malibu beach Monday, partaking in a celebration of close friend Ashley Tisdale’s 27th birthday. Gomez looked to be having as much – if not more – fun than birthday girl Tisdale as she wrestled with her anonymous male friend on the beach, all while sporting a green crop top, white shorts, and a blanket draped around her shoulders, notes NY Daily .
UPDATE: The unidentified male is actually one of Justin Bieber’s friends, named Alfredo Flores. WetPaint opines that the playful beach-wrestling is perfectly platonic, though can’t help but wonder if the Biebs would approve after seeing the photos. Aww, see? There’s nothing amiss about these two. We always beliebed in them.
Gomez also revealed recently that she’ll be hitting the studio to churn out some more music soon. Of the upcoming project, she said “I have a thousand ideas. This album is going to be the first one that I’m actually going to spend as long as I want — it can be two months, it could be a whole year before this album comes out — so I’m going to have my freedom with it. It’ll be, like, my tell-all, in a way.”
She’ll also use the new album as a chance to talk about life experiences she hasn’t been able to address thus far: “I’m going to be able to talk about things that I’ve never really talked about before, just because the last records have been really rushed, so I’m just excited to be able to take my time with it,” Gomez said.
