A Florida AMBER Alert was sent out on Saturday evening when word had gotten out that a 14-year-old teen named Jordan Turner had been abducted. Not much was known at the time except that she had been forced into a small vehicle by two men. About four hours later, the alert was cancelled and the young girl advised police that she had made up the whole thing.
According to Fox 13 News , the 14-year-old was reported missing after she had last been seen leaving the Shiloh Baptist Church in downtown Orlando. Turner reportedly claimed via text message that she had been forced into a small dark grey or black 4-door vehicle by two men.
The AMBER Alert sent out around 6:15 p.m. ET also said that the vehicle may have been a “dark orange.”
It was then that the Orlando Police Department had reached out to the public in more ways than just the AMBER Alert. They sent out fliers on social media and began asking for anyone that had information to come forward and help.

Reports stated that Jordan Turner was at the church for a Girl Scout meeting and was not seen again after leaving the church in the 600 block of West Jackson Street in Orlando. It was revealed that she had been last seen in a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and black sandals.
This location is in the Parramore area near the Amway Center where the Orlando Magic play.
Around 9 p.m., reports began coming through that the AMBER Alert was called off because the teen had been found safe and returned to her family. It was around 11 p.m. that reports of the truth started coming out.
My News 13 is now reporting that Jordan Turner was found alone, one block away from her home along Tampa Avenue and Amelia Street. Police are now saying she was never abducted as she’s admitted to them that she made the whole kidnapping up.
The girl, who lives with her grandmother, has completely admitted to making up the story, according to police, after sending the text earlier that said she was abducted. Police have since revealed that after texting and saying she had been forced into a small four-door car by “two dark-skinned men,” she also gave more info.
She described being in front of a “junkie house” and continued with more info about the car and the two males. It was then that Jordan Turner stopped communicating with anyone for a number of hours.
The Orlando Police Department worked with several other law enforcement agencies to find her and return her safely.

There has been no word from the police if the teen will face any charges for the alleged fake kidnapping report and the time spent by law enforcement agencies in looking for her. All that is known at this time is that she has been located, is safe, and that she has reportedly admitted to faking the entire kidnapping since she was never truly abducted.
Jordan Turner immediately caused a huge stir in Orlando, the whole state of Florida, and across the country. AMBER Alerts were sent out across television channels, cell phone carriers, social media, and much more. Fortunately, she was found safe and returned to her family, but now there is concern raised due to the fact that she allegedly made up the entire thing.
