Jimmy Fallon recently had Ryan Reynolds on The Tonight Show and it might just be one of the best interviews yet. Jimmy always has games to play with guests on his show and “Slap Jack” might be the funniest. The winner of each round gets to slap the loser across the face with the giant prosthetic hand. They played the game in honor of Ryan’s new movie Mississippi Grind , in which he plays a gambler, and there is no way to adequately describe the hilarity of the game. You just have to watch it.
Ryan took it all like a sport, even though he looked pretty stunned after the first giant hand slap from Jimmy Fallon. Yet, he might have taken the impact of the slap better than he is taking the fact that his baby girl is calling him “mama.” According to E Online , Ryan revealed to Jimmy that his daughter says “mama,” but she calls him “mama” as well as his wife.
“She’s saying mama. My wife doesn’t realize though that she calls me mama, too.”
Ryan also admitted to Jimmy Fallon that he’s the “dad guy” now. As ET reported Ryan told Jimmy about an embarrassing incident in traffic , where a school bus full of kids caught him singing his heart out – to Heart’s “These Dreams.”
“About a month ago, I was sitting in traffic and I was just jamming to ‘These Dreams’ by Heart. I was killin’ it in the car and there was this busload of high school kids that were parked right beside me. I didn’t even realize it. I looked over and every one of their jaws were just on the ground laughing their guts out at me.”
As always, Jimmy Fallon got down to business and discussed Ryan Reynolds’ work. Ryan’s movie Mississippi Grind is due to be released in movie theaters on September 25, and according to this Tweet by The Hollywood Reporter , the movie is trying to beat the odds when it comes to the recognition of gambling movies at the Academy Awards.

Regardless of how many times Jimmy Fallon hits him in the face or what his daughter calls him, Ryan Reynolds is doing just fine when it comes to his work. With Mississippi Grind under his belt and Deadpool in the works, he is showing his versatility as an actor, something ET reported he also praises star Jennifer Lawrence for.
