Arrow Season 4 has said to be themed “Magic and Mysticism,” as Constantine actor Matt Ryan revives the character in Star(ling) city this fall , the Inquisitr has reported. Stephen Amell, the man who plays (Green) Arrow and updates fans more often than the CW themselves, has been filming Arrow Season 4 Episode 5 “Haunted.” Comicbook reports that Amell has been working alongside Matt Ryan, as he plays Constantine for Amell’s show, and he shared what is was like working on set with the man who plays Constantine.
“I’ve been filming scenes all week long with Matt Ryan. He is such a treat. And a trip. He’s always saying his lines — and he’s getting ready to go on Broadway right now with Keira Knightley, so he’s always saying those lines, too. I can’t tell if he’s having a conversation with me, or preparing. And sometimes I chime in, he’ll be like ‘I wasn’t talking to you, mate.’”
Many fans have desired or questioned whether Batman would make a trip to Star(ling) city at one point in Arrow, but Stephen Amell finds that it is trickier than one might think, according to ComicbookMovie he doesn’t see why not Batman couldn’t end up in an Arrow season.
“In the same way that… [Ezra Miller’s] playing the Flash in the cinematic universe — theoretically, we haven’t seen him yet — I see no reason why we couldn’t have our own Bruce Wayne. That’s my opinion; that might not be DC’s opinion, and their the bosses.”
Sadly, for Batman fans, there is still no definitive answer. It seems fairly unlikely, considering the fact that there is already a younger Batman on TV, and DC probably wants to keep their focus on that show. Though that does not necessarily leave out the idea of a solo Batman show in the future.
As always, Stephen Amell was asked about Oliver Queen/(Green) Arrow’s relationship with Felicity aka Olicity, and whether or not Arrow Season 4 will feature another love interest to get in the way of Olicity. One such question, as he was at the Q&A panel at Wizard World Chicago, was whether Oliver Queen/Arrow would ever end up back in a relationship with one of the Lance sisters. His answer was… non-committal .
“I’m on a show where people come back from the dead. I think saying never is probably not the best idea….I doubt it, but I will never say never.”
Olicity fans would certainly turn rabid, but Oliver Queen/Arrow and Dinah “Laurel” Lance do end up together in the DC Comics Green Arrow, so it certainly isn’t impossible. With a “love interest” cast for possibly just flashbacks and a son that has yet to be revealed to him, it is certainly seems like Olicity will be hitting some rocks along side that ocean they rode off next to in Arrow S eason 3.
