Emma Watson is sharing her “horrendous” time with the world of romance and love. Emma is now 25, years away from her Harry Potter days. But Watson admits she still dreamed of magic when it comes to relationships, and was all the more hurt when her relationship with now-former boyfriend Matt Janney went south, reported E News .
Recalling the “horrendous” time that Emma had as their breakup began, Watson revealed that she decided to go on a one-week silent retreat to learn to be happy on her own.
“I felt really uncomfortable,” said Emma. “Even before my relationship ended, I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself.”
Watson’s recovery from that horrendous time included a week in Canada at a facility in the Rocky Mountains, where she maintained her silence for seven days to learn to be by herself.
Emma and Matt, a rugby player, broke up in December after having dated since January 2014. They went on a holiday together in the Caribbean prior to their split.
But Watson said that, despite her horrendous time with Janney, some past boyfriends have made her feel wonderful.

“They’ve built me up,” said Emma. “I certainly haven’t found that with doing all that I do or being all that I am, that I’ve struggled in my love life.”
Prior to Matt, Watson was rumored to be with various Harry Potter stars, Prince Harry, and Harry Styles of One Direction, reported Teen .
The movie-related romances didn’t last long. And as for the Harry friends?
Harry Styles and Emma did go out on one date publicly, but that romance was short-lived. As for Prince Harry, so not true, tweeted Watson about the rumors.
And with that horrendous time over from her most recent breakup, Emma is not dating anyone right now. Instead, she’s focused on her HeForShe campaign for the United Nations, reported Vogue .
Watson now plans to continue her acting career while crusading for feminism as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
“Part of me relaxed after I took on that position, it gave me a sense of belonging and purpose… Everything clicked in to place, in a way that it hadn’t before. I understood what I’m here to do and knew where to channel all this energy that has been coming at me. I now feel this sense of peace. People say that I’m different since I did it.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Watson has spoken passionately about her vision for the results of the gender equality campaign.
“I want men to take up this mantle so their daughters, sisters, and mothers can be free from prejudice, but also so that their sons have permission to be vulnerable and human too — reclaim those parts of themselves they abandoned and in doing so be a more true and complete version of themselves.”
