The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has certainly gone through her share of ups and downs this season, from her husband’s infidelity to trying to help with Brooks Ayers and his battle with cancer. With that in mind, Beador recently sat down with Perez Hilton and discussed the many issues she’s dealt with this season.
“I learned a lot about myself last season. I just wanted a connection so desperately with my husband I thought that by being on the show, he would watch it back and say ‘I’m not spending time with my wife,’… What I learned about watching myself was that if you want to get something your nagging and wining isn’t going to get you there… Women want love and men want respect.”
One of the hardest issues Beador was forced to deal with this season was her husband’s 8-month-long affair, which was something that almost made Beador not return to the show.
“I spent a lot of time with my husband and family trying to figure out whether we would come back at all because of the things that have been going on in my life the last year… It was a difficult decision but I suppose had infidelity not happened in my life it would be a lot easier.”
Beador added that she is glad they made the decision to open up about their family issues on the Real Housewives of Orange County , and how her family is doing better because of it.
“I focus on the positive because my family is in such a great place right now. David and I are doing better than I ever thought that we were capable of doing. It’s a blessing.”
At the same time, Beador also discussed how she believes that Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend, Ayers, has cancer despite the rumors that he is faking it.
“When I was told that Brooks had cancer I absolutely believe it… You will never hear me say that Brooks doesn’t have cancer. Everyone in this country has been affected by cancer in one way or another. It’s not something you fool around with.”
Speaking of Gunvalson, Beador recently blogged about their trip together to Tahiti with the other cast members of the show. Apparently, they had quite the time on their little vacation, including a wild night at a local restaurant.
“From what I can recall, it was quite good!… Rumor has it we almost reached double digits in the shot department which I never, ever do, but I was on vacation and it’s ok to be wild and zany like that sometimes!!”
