After exchanging vows just over a year ago, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo might be headed for a breakup. In an interview with InTouch Magazine , an inside source close to the couple revealed that Levine’s playboy ways and Prinsloo’s jealousy are starting to have an impact on their relationship.
“Adam’s acting like the same playboy he was before they wed, and that’s a problem for his wife… She thinks it’s disrespectful for him to flirt with other girls when he’s married to her.”
The source added that Levine has a tendency to hang out with other models, which is a touchy subject with his wife. “He goes out all the time and hangs out with other models,” the insider explained. “Recently, Adam had a guys’ night out and Behati found out he was chatting up girls. She was livid and they had a huge fight. It’s a sore spot for her.”
Levine’s problems with other women isn’t anything new. The couple split in 2013 over similar issues after Prinsloo caught him with model Nina Agdal. Despite the short fling and subsequent breakup, the two decided to tie the knot a little over a year ago.
However, Prinsloo hasn’t been able to let go of her husband’s past actions. “Behati has had trust issues. She never wanted to be that nagging wife, but now she is, constantly calling or texting Adam to see where he’s at,” the source stated.
Apparently, Prinsloo’s jealousy is only making things worse for Levine. “It’s driving him crazy—and pushing him further away,” the source revealed. “He promised Behati that after they got married, things would change—and they haven’t.”
With the couple seemingly heading for a break-up , the source added that “Adam’s not a bad guy” and that “He just loves being with women.” However, it appears as though Prinsloo isn’t ready to trust him, which is somewhat understandable given his past issues.
Although the couple is clearly having difficulties, they are still managing to put up a good front whenever the cameras are rolling. In fact, as recently as July 27, Prinsloo uploaded a photo of her and Levine on her Instagram account. Alongside the image, which featured a smiling Prinsloo and Levine, the model wrote that Levine was her “LIFE.”
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo have yet to comment on the rumors of a possible split.
